Irie Music Presents Gabbidon (a top UK Reggae Band), the world renowned Scientist Sound System, numerous guest DJ's and performers from the Reggae world, an African Drumming Workshop,
Heated Marquees and a Caribbean Kitchen serving soul food from 6:00pm till close at 2:00am

legend and Grammy Award Winner) and his 7 piece band.
Irie Music’s 21st Birthday Party, Trading since 1990 so were putting
together a mini REGGAE Festival on Saturday 29th October 2011 at the
Black Lion Hereford
Main Event: 6:00pm – 2:00am
Basil Gabbidon (Grammy Award Winner Ex Steel Pulse) and his 7 - 9 piece
REGGAE band playing two 45 minutes sets: 9:30pm – 10:15pm and 11:15pm –
12:00pm

Guests Dj: BDS aka Lofty/Dub Merge will be supporting the band with
Roots, Lovers, Dub and Dancehall Reggae. From 6:00pm – 2:00am
Invited guest include: Ali Campbell (UB40), Reggae Producers Spears and
Woolley, DJ and performer: Basildon Bond, DJ Coalminer Diggin' Deep/Kut
D, who may well also perform on the day.
Caribbean Food by 3 Kings Catering all day from 2:00pm – 2:00am
African drumming workshop by James White, with guest appearance from
Lofty/Dub Merge. From 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Reggae music will also playing outside in the courtyard from 2:00pm –
9:00pm from various providers.

Raffle to be drawn
on Saturday the 29th October at the Black Lion in Hereford
Recently performed at Glastonbury Festival as well as other major
festivals across the globe the band including the Glade Festival, Irie
Vibes Festival, Flyover Show as well as a recent residency at the
prestigious West Bromwich venue The Public.
Featuring:
Basil Gabbidon (born Basil Glendon Gabbidon, 29 October 1955, Buff Bay,
Jamaica) is a guitarist / vocalist, and a founding member of the reggae
band Steel Pulse. Paul Beckford (bass guitar ex Third World), Colin
Gabbidon (drums), Faisal x (keyboards), Sonia Clarke (vocals), Anne
Marie Chambers (vocals), Candi Gabbidon (vocals) and various other
sessions players.
Scientist Sound System:
From Birmingham UK and with over thirty years experience Scientist
Sound System continues to be a leading Sound System on the International
Reggae Circuit.
Recently back from their tour of Poland the scientists
are currently preparing for Irie Music's 21st Birthday Party.
